Like an A record, but for the newer, longer style of internet address (IPv6). Having both helps your site work on all types of networks.
Similar to an A record, an AAAA record points a domain to an IP address. However, it uses the newer IPv6 format instead of the older IPv4. IPv6 addresses are much longer and designed to provide a virtually unlimited number of unique addresses for the growing internet.
Many modern networks prefer IPv6. Having both A and AAAA records (Dual Stack) ensures your site is reachable from any network configuration.
